File extension PIC is a file format that is compressed and is used by Lotus Picture. The IBM developed it as a Lotus product. IBM bought lotus and adopted the file extension for its applications. The file extension falls under several of the MIME types. Such include application/pic and application/x-lotus-pic. Another of the MIME types that encompasses this extension is application/x-pic. It can also be grouped under image/x-lotus-pic. The program identifications for the file extension are yet unknown just like the file classification for the Lotus Picture files that are in use by IBM.
